Install in Salesforce
Base package 1.79.0 — subscriber package ID 04tal000007DDcvAAG. Use your usual install process or:
Typical predecessor: 1.78.0 (04tal000007D9sfAAC).
Highlights
- Required name on queue entry: First Name and Last Name are required when quickly adding a customer to the queue, with the same missing-field guidance as other required queue fields.
- Required name on customer details: First Name and Last Name are required when editing customer details in clienteling, so incomplete names are caught before save.
What’s new for everyone
- Clearer queue check-in: On Quick Add to Queue, associates must enter First Name and Last Name before saving. If either is blank, the familiar required-fields message lists them with other missing items (for example store, journey, or “What brings you in today?”).
- Clearer profile edits: On the customer details form, First Name and Last Name show as required and block save when empty.
- Same day-to-day clienteling otherwise: Queues, journeys, Messaging Centre, and notifications behave as in Release 1.78; associates only need to notice the stronger name requirements on those two screens.
What’s new for administrators and data stewards
Required First Name and Last Name
| Screen | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Quick Add to Queue | First Name and Last Name on the customer queue record are required in the UI and included in client-side required-field validation before create |
| Customer details | Contact First Name and Last Name are required on the details form |
No new admin settings, permission sets, or feature flags are introduced. Existing Salesforce field-level security and page layouts still apply; this release strengthens the packaged clienteling forms so blank names are not submitted from those entry points.
Custom objects and fields referenced
- Customer Queue → First Name, Last Name — Required on Quick Add to Queue
- Contact → First Name, Last Name — Required on the customer details form
No new objects or fields are introduced in 1.79.
Upgrading from 1.78 to 1.79
- Standard managed-package upgrade; no data migration or scheduler changes.
- Re-assign WIQ User and WIQ Admin after install.
- In sandbox, confirm Quick Add to Queue and customer details block save when First Name or Last Name is blank, and succeed when both are filled.
Upgrading from earlier releases
Orgs not yet on 1.78 should install 1.79 (cumulative) and also follow Release 1.78 (Exclude OBM cleanup), Release 1.77 (Notification Fallback, Normalised Phone, broader Exclude OBM usage), then earlier notes as needed.
Branding and Reports extensions
WovenIQ - Branding and WovenIQ - Reports builds pinned to 1.76 remain compatible; no extension change is required for this release unless your team publishes a new build against 1.79.
